These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the NearFind mobile applications and this website (together, the "App"). Please read them together with our Privacy Policy. By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Licence to use the App

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, or decompile the App, or use it to build a competing product.

2. What NearFind does — and does not do (please read)

NearFind is a close-range Bluetooth finder, not a GPS tracker. It helps you locate Bluetooth devices that are nearby — roughly within 5–10 metres (15–30 feet) — by reading Bluetooth signal strength and guiding you with a hot/cold meter, sound, and vibration.

It cannot locate a device left in another city, track a lost phone on a map, or find a device that is out of battery, out of Bluetooth range, or that does not emit a detectable Bluetooth signal. Because real-world signal behaviour varies with walls, furniture, bodies, and interference, we do not guarantee that every device will be found. Please do not rely on NearFind for safety-critical, medical, or emergency purposes.

3. Purchases, pricing and refunds

The core find-it experience is free and unlimited.
Optional upgrades (such as Pro, Lifetime, Remove Ads, and Tips) are one-time purchases — never a subscription. Once bought, a non-consumable upgrade does not renew or charge you again.
All payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us. Prices are set in the store and may vary by region and currency.
Refunds are handled by the store from which you purchased, in accordance with that store's refund policy. Contact Apple or Google for purchase refunds; contact us for help with restoring or troubleshooting an entitlement.
You are responsible for any taxes or fees the store applies.

4. Advertisements

The free version may display a small banner advertisement only on the Settings screen. There are never advertisements during the search flow. Rewarded advertisements are always optional and initiated by you. You can remove all advertisements at any time with the one-time "Remove Ads" purchase. Advertising is subject to the consent choices described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Your account and data

Cloud sync is optional and uses an anonymous account with no email address. You are responsible for the devices and data you store. If you sign out or delete your account, your cloud data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy. Data stored only on your device is lost if you uninstall the App or lose the device without a backup.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the App for any unlawful purpose; attempt to locate, track, or surveil any person or device without lawful authority; interfere with or disrupt the App or its infrastructure; use the App to harass others; or violate any applicable law or third-party right. Using NearFind to track another person's belongings without their consent is prohibited.

7. Intellectual property

The App, including its code, design, text, graphics, and the NearFind name and logo, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited licence in §1, no rights are transferred to you. All trademarks of third parties (including any Bluetooth device manufacturers) are the property of their respective owners; NearFind is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any device manufacturer.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will always locate a device.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, devices, or profits, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes to the App and these Terms

We may update, change, or discontinue features of the App at any time, and we may revise these Terms. When we revise the Terms we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you breach these Terms or if required by law. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the entity operating the App in your country or region of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

13. Governing language

The English version of these Terms and of our Privacy Policy is the authoritative version. Translations into other languages are provided for your convenience only; if a translation and the English version conflict or are inconsistent, the English version prevails.
